    The International Standards Organisation already recognizes Platinum is a currency (ISO 4217: Alphabetic Code: XPT; Numeric Code: 962) and the United States is a signatory. Also, the US has already minted Platinum coins.

    Now there's talk of the US govt minting a monster coin to pay (part of) the US debt, and/or to avoid default. If Platinum is coined this way (legally) does that confirm Platinum is MONEY?
