My first and third show her as a pretty young lady while the second is the homeliest of the bunch. The last, a fouree, shows her as older.
It was probably confusing to use the term "Best Portrait" when I was only looking to poll which was the most favoured of the three (I know it's not fair, but hey, I only bought three!). I still think the results were interesting... at least they were to me, considering my favourite portrait polled the lowest . I like all three coins, but the hawk-nosed portrait with the hint of haughtiness really does it for me. Thanks also for showing the favourites from your own collection. I find almost all to have beautiful portraits, and it also serves to evidence the wide variety of styles available for Domna (even if just the nice ones!). Taking the portrait into consideration along with other aspects, particularly the very well-rendered reverse Pietas, #3 is actually my favorite coin, but if there something special about it, I must be totally missing it.
