This is a tough one, for value for money I have to give the vote to stevex6, historical value, I have a soft spot @Cucumbor's Didrachm as this is the period where the Roman's took their training wheels off. As for eye appeal both coins have heaps of that so I am going to toss a coin, and not telling anyone how it lands.......
Ditto. I'm having a tough time with this contest. Both are great coins and I wish either or both were in my collection.
Ohhhh @stevex6 ! What a naughty boy ! Would your wild drooling bull dare to attack an innocent she-wolf feeding from her breast (in that, probably leaving her own descendance away) two cute, poor and lonesome orphans ? That's not what civilized people would do, I guess, but Northern Manitoba is another country.... Just kidding @stevex6 of course : I love your coin, and should I have to vote, I would be embarrased to. Edit : Hey folks, I didn't write the above sentence ! (I do think Steve sort of took control of my brain (that man has connections with darkside forces, astrology and stuff like that, know what I mean !!)) Hope you all have a lot of fun. I do Steve you rock ! Q
Hmmm, @Ancient Aussie seems to have stolen my thoughts... This is definitely tougher than it may seem at first glance. I LOVE both but I suspect 'Q' will win two categories.
I had to change my vote to a straight @stevex6 ticket. That Taurus drachm only having 5 points for eye appeal was a crime against coinage.
Excellent ! Q PS (I can't see the poll result, as I stick to my word of not voting for the polls I'm part of, but Steve's reaction gives me some indication ) Really excellent Happy Q
That's what I call compassion ! (Sorry @Paul M. I couldn't resist) Steve's coin is really a stunner, I would love to have it Q
France used to "own" Canada! It was called New France. During the Seven Years War, 1756-63, the French under Montcalm won most of the battles vs the British in the North American theatre. However, they eventually lost through being outnumbered/ outgunned and New France became part of British North America.
I like the she-wolf design, But I am a Taurus! I have on too....but this coin is from 1626 AV 2 Doppie 1626 Piacenza Mint 13.66g. 27mm. Odoardo Farnese Duke of Parma
Acme bomb company= MOAB = -1 she wolf = Steve wins..... the crowd roars..... Trump invites Stevo to Maralago
Checking over the polls Stevo I think you have a hanging chad? Demand a recount..... Either that or those darn she wolf tree hugers have voted twice...... hello Acme bomb company any discounts for two MOAB's?
Another secret weapon the Acme Automatic milking machine --->>>> see image..... guaranteed not to quit till she gives 4 quarts...... adjust to Imperial gallons north of the border . Economy and deluxe models available
Hey, wait a sec ... => I meant to play my Leo!! Man, I can't believe I played the wrong coin ... stupid, stupid, stupid!! I'm a Leo, baby!! => yah, and maybe next time I'll vote for my own coin!!
Before that, in the next round, you'll have the opportunity to vote for mine !!! Q Edit to add : Man, that Leo is fantastic. BTW did you drink the bottle of wine I sent you last week just before playing your cards in round 2 ? (I've been told they add something in it for making people happy and care less )
