Adolf Hitler was an evil person, and the Nazis were evil people. HOWEVER, there's nothing inherently evil about the coins they minted. No offense intended to those who think otherwise, but I'm sorry, I just find it silly to apply guilt by association to coins that just happened to be minted under the authority of evil people. You may think a reichspfenig with a swastika on the reverse represents pure evil, and are certaintly free to think that. I think it represents a peace of medal that was once worth 1/100 of a mark. I don't think the fact the coin still exists in my collection in any way shows that I support or glorify anything the Nazis did, and will continue to own them with a perfectly clear consicence, may even buy a few more if it suits me (This applies to Iraqi banknotes issued under the government of Saddam Hussein as well; in fact one of these, brought to me by my brother who served in Iraq, represents the exact opposite of the glorification of Saddam's regime to me; it represents him being deposed and the freedom the Iraqis enjoy in his absense!). I'll let you think about them however you want as long as you extend me the same privilege.
