PMD? PMS? WMD?

    This 2000 S Maryland quarter should be proof, I believe. Instead, it has a dull reverse. Also, the obverse has a thick silvery coating that thins on parts of the edge of the coating, plus a dull perimeter. A failed jewelry attempt? Why use an S? 2000 S O.jpg 2000 S R.jpg
