I recently saw this item listed on ebay. According to the seller it is a rare double denomination mint error. I don't think so. It's clearly a damaged Cent. ********************I sent the seller a message that the Cent they listed is not a Mint Error. Guess what the seller does? They sent me an offer to buy it at $100.00 less of the original price! Ridiculous! ********************
If they are so "rare" how can she possibly have so many of them? I guess you can always tell EBay it's a fraudulent listing, but I have given up on companies with no integrity. Edited for gender reclassification.
On the contrary! The seller does get it! He thinks that there are just enough stupid people on this planet that might fall for his scheme. Chris
They are actually filling a hole in the business. Hopefully they will not be around much longer. Just a matter of time before they are reported for selling damaged coins as errors.
That would be me.. I watch many of these types of listings.. It's unbelievable when it actually and sadly sells.
Well, that cent does look like it was struck twice... once by cent dies and the second time by a Mack truck in a parking lot.
Who was the member here a little while back that kept posting damaged coins like that over and over? Even the capitalized RARE!
