Found this in my recent ebay penny album pick-up. I've never seen a cracked skull specimen look so well defined and new looking. It's almost like the die shattered and was also filled with something. He still needs to go through an acetone decontamination.

    Very interesting...

    Opinions... thoughts?? 20170904_215611.jpg 20170904_220512.jpg 20170904_220336.jpg

The 1964-D quarter also comes in a "cracked skull" variety

I sent them an email. Mine didn't seem to match any of them. Maybe I'll discover something new.

After acetone. I found what looks like a die crack and retained cud on the first 5 and a wicked crack on the coat.

Send in to grade or keep in a flip? I'll probably sell it if it's valued high enough to turn profit. 20170905_161801.jpg 20170905_161919.jpg 20170905_160901.jpg

i dont believe you would make any money if you got it graded, i have maybe a dozen "cracked skull" lincolns with 2 or 3 that have interior breaks, i think one might be similar to yours, you might get a few bucks for it, but they are somewhat common so not really worth much...

I sent images to JC Stevens with cuds on coins. My coin received a new designation.
