I've bought from that seller and was pleased, but I'm confused about the value. It's very tough to tell from the photos, but it doesn't look DMPL to me. Grey sheet for a 1900-O MS65DMPL is $2,800. MS64DMPL drops down to $580. In MS65 bid and ask is 125/135. MS64 is 45/48.

yuck. yuck, yuck, yuck, yucky yuck. 700 for that crappy piece of silver? It won't make 65, and barely 64. IT's not even PL, let alone DMPL. That one better be a TKO in hand.

Technical knock out for all you non hostiles ;)

College Student!?! How in the world can you afford to be buying coins as you have been doing? Shoot...I was lucky if I had $5 to my name when I was in school (78-82) just to pay for a couple of pitchers of beer!?!

As GD stated, I would NEVER spend the money you are spending for sight-unseen-raw-coins.

Told you...should have gone to the FUN show. Talk about the 1000's and 1000's of Morgans all over the hall! You will never see more Morgans in one room like the FUN show in Orlando.

I can afford certain things that most people my age can't, because I made a huge sum of money selling a coin recently, and I also made a TON of money when I invested all of my money in apple stock, only to have it increase 40 dollars a share.

    Hi,
One thing to keep in mind is that for a DMPL designation, a coin is to be DMPL on the obverse and the reverse. While it is possible that ther reverse might be, The obverse may not be. Of course, that is only based upon the pics.
I am afraid that you are going to have a coin that has been buffed up a little. This may be a $300.00 coin if it is not DMPL on both sides. If it was, it would have been slabbed and sold for a lot more. than $687.00 or so.

If there was any doubt about this coin, I would return it.

I definitely will employ a great deal of discretion when I get this coin. Thankfully, my father is very close friends with a GNP dealer, and he always offers me advice on purchases like this. I'll take it to him so he can see it in hand, and he'll let me know if I should return it.

I really can't tell much from the photos. It may be MS65DMPL. It may be MS64. Maybe it's one of the O/CC varieties.

Is that a joke???...I don't think we can say much untill we have better photos...and even then we don't have the coin in hand....the coin may very well be DMPL....

    Nope,
I usually spend about 20-30 minutes a day looking at ebay. It will probably be less starting today, since school is starting, and I have a lot of classes.

I originally bought the coin at an auction (not a coin auction, but they had a couple coins), I also managed to get a 1916-d mercury dime in g-4 for 200 at the auction!(too bad pcgs bodybagged it for being counterfeit lol, but the dollar definitely made up for it). I sold if for 18.9k, so based on greysheet bid, I probably should have sold it for 23, regardless of that, I'm happy with my purchase and sale.

Did you know it was valuable when you brought it? This is like a once in a lifetime strike.

I thought it was about a 2500 dollar coin. I had no idea it would grade a 63 on a crossover, especially seeing as it was in a PCI holder.
