I have looked into it but have nothing. Everyone is telling me it’s a silver mold hand made. History is what I’d like to know
    It may be my grandpas and that’s what I’m trying to determine. Somewhat off the coin topic tho it was amongst his more valuable possessions n silver coins. I look forward to your input on here. Everyone seems so smart so that’s why I’m posting. :)

    @chrisild

    Looks like some sort of memento.......maybe something conferred upon a person when they retired?

    You'll have to get a translation from the spike, and while you're at it, try getting a translation from the tool that is just above the spike in the 3rd photo. It looks like an instrument that a tool & diemaker might use for precision toolmaking.

    Yes. It's used to turn threading taps. The one shown is pretty old.

    That would be a starting element for a book, The silver spike, a CoinTalk mystery!

    I don't think zombies care @desertgem - but Werewolves hate the stuff :D

    for the german, try using translate.google.com
    for instance, this is what I typed in it from what I could see - the images are fuzzy.

    A festival I think - 3 thru 31 of Jan. 1935? Was Grandfather born in Germany? Any idea what he did for a living?

    "to the employees of(near) Crown Group"? Not even sure it's German but I needed a mental distraction today & fixated on this....
