I have posted this one before, but now with a better camera and hopefully better pictures would like to see what you guys think.

ps - The lighting was not that good. May try to take better pics tomorrow.

    Thanks!

As an -10 collector this variety has eluded me even thought I check each 1858 H-10 I see....one of these days I'm going to cherry pick one in the wild.
Now your coin isn't Au....definitely a MS coin . To an untrained eye they are going to low ball it.
Lack luster perhaps but with the original skin and details I'm going to say ms 62.
That factor may put it in jeopardy as a TPG may read it as Au due to the lack of luster.
Again as a colector of half dimes this is one of the finest I'v seen of the RPD -002 Breem 3091 RPD/inverted date.
I would place a value on the open retail market at somewhere in the $950-$1000 range and over $1200 if graded ....in the 62/63 range.
    Sweet coin Paddy

Thanks for the opinions, guys. Much appreciated.

Paddy, thank you very much for the attribution!
To my eyes the coin seems to have no wear at all, but I can't be sure due to its small size. That is why I wanted your expert opinions. It also has plenty of luster, but my camera does not capture it unless I take the picture at an angle.

I am almost ashamed to say what I paid for it. I think it cost me less than 10$. It came with another one, but it is in much lower grade.

If what you're saying is true you need to have it graded it may as well be a 1200 + coin in my opinion. Should you wish to part with the other shoot me. PM. Thanks

I think I see a few touches of wear, so I’d be at AU-58.

That inverted date jumped out at me a couple about a second into looking at the pictures. Really cool!

I am seeing a slight color changes on the breasts and knee that look like luster breaks.

Here are a couple more shots. Lighting conditions were a bit better today.

(now I know why I don't collect half dimes actively - they are just too darn small!:))

It's not MS. All kinds of wear on the obverse. AU-53

    Im going to say MS62
    63 on a good day.
I think if/when the grader spots the raised metal around the date he maybe give it the old key date bump

I say submit - some of us will be eating crow, but you will be eating Lobster thermidor:greedy:

I'm guessing Paddy that you have many more than: (1873-1829) = 44 ?
