    Hello everyone.

I've been on Numista for a while now, looking for a match for these coins. I've looked at over 100 pages of coin photos....

I originally thought "Greece" but no.

Then I thought "Ancient Rome" but no.

Anyone have any insights to these? Thank you.

They are modern copies of ancient Jewish coins.

    :)

OK, thank you very much. Found them on Numista.

My wife's friend has them and was wondering if anyone knew about them. So I passed the info on to her.

    Thanks again.

"copy" stamped at the bottom was a dead give-away.

Gee, really? I knew they were copies. I can read, too.

That wasn't the purpose of my thread.

My problem was I couldn't figure out which country/era/denomination they were copies of.

Sorry, being snarky, was interesting to see what country they were supposed to be. I think I have seen that same cup motif on other Israel coins.

Yeah, I thought I "recognized" the letters/language on the coins but I was very wrong.

It's OK. No problem. Just don't let it happen again.
