    Hi everyone,

My apologies if I'm posting this piece on the incorrect board for inquiry. Truth is, I enjoy lurking and coming here more than any other board on this forum.

With that being said, can someone please help me ID what appears to be an 18th C. uniface planchet of a capped Liberty? The copper(?) coin(?) is just a bit larger than a US quarter and is mounted within a bronze frame. I've searched the web for days prior to posting here in hopes of ID'ing, but to no avail. Can you all please help?

Thank you all in advance for your time!

I've conducted an AC Search and could not locate another example like this.

Does anyone know if this coin would be considered a uniface trial or die trial or some type trial coin?

It's uniface because the reverse was ground off as is evidenced by all of those scratch marks.
