I think they're on toads and hallucinating. I had it on watch to bid on it if it stayed low but once it got too high, I kept it on watch just to see how high it'd go. I seriously want to be able to sell my EAC in Europe. Ribbit
Well Toad, you are right. American coins seem to be very much appreciated in the UK. The foreign coin specialist at Spinks-London once told me that they get better prices for U.S material in their sales in London than in the US. That tells you something. They really like you guys over there! (maybe some kind of romantic ideal related to their colonization of America??) If you want good deals in US coins you got to turn to the other Ebay locations. I've picked up some good coins that way, way below what they would have cost in the US. One reason is the grading (our Very fine is closer to your EF, and so on). There are probably other reasons as well. Regards, Ed
The 1811 is also over rated in the price guides (IMO) so that has some to do with it. I would prefer to own a 1825, over a 1811, since the mintage is lower but I also know that there were a lot of 1811's that were lost for some reason so that makes them even more scarce but I don't think it's as bad as they make it out to be.
