Dude ! Did you inherit an oil well or something ? Hey... I just remembered ! I am your long lost twin Skippy, and I get half the inheritance ! At which point your popularity will go up by 1. That thing is a way-strong MS65 at the least. The tiny discoloration in "ES OF AM" might hold it back from higher, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it in a 66 slab. Super-sweet fields, luster that glows in the dark. Wonderful, wonderful coin. As Billy Crystal once said, "You look mah-velous !"
I second that statement! Sweeeeeetttttt coin spock! IMHO it is no less than a high 65 but really should go a 66 even with the few light nicks and dings. It appears to have a nice Die Crack extending from the rim through the second "A" in AMERICA. Frank
So you cant grade with the pics provided check another possible recruit for grading class check amazing i thought it ws only a G4 that was blooming with the die I am taking applications after which i may decide either way the fee to apply is only $50000 as soon as you send that over i will start considering your case
Totally agree, SM. Yes, it's true. An average coin can look awesome in a photo - even without photoshop. Some problems are seen only at a certain light angle. But we're not throwing down $$$ to buy. We're only offering on opinion - on the picture, not the coin.
Ok, so i looks like i still need help with grading. Why isn't this an MS-69-70? It loks flawless to me. stainless
Whoa, niiiice one man! Beautiful! Strong MS-65 to me, might go a MS-66. But, that is one killer coin, congrats! :thumb: Phoenix
Look a little harder stainless - find the tick marks on the coin. There is one on the N above 10 dollars. Look at what looks like dirt in TES of AMER. Don't get me wrong I would take this coin over any modern 69/70. I see enough not to warrant a 69 and remember we only have pictures to go by. Just take your time looking at the coin - this is a beauty of a coin no matter what the grade.
Also too, the die crack on the reverse will stop it a bit, along with the dirt on the letters on the reverse. Lol, I feel weird critising a beautiful coin like that. Phoenix
Oh, I see, also, there looks like there is something on the Feather of the eagle too on the reverse. thanks for the help stainless
Love how people pick apart a coin that most would not decline for their collections. That is why I no longer post my most significant acquisitions, in fact I don't even put them on the public areas of my website anymore.
there is nothing on the feather of the eagle on the reverse that i can see. i am wonderign what you are seeing?
yes you have a point there but some of the picking apart i see is valid and some is downright crazy (in general not for this coin or my coins alone) thats why one should take everything with a pinch of salt if anyone says they can accurately grade a coin just by looking at the pic go and hit them where it hurts the most
I wasn't picking it apart, I was just showing a few of the minor flaws, because stainless said he didn't see anything that would keep it from a 69 grade. I also said it is a very nice coin, and I felt weird about critizing such a coin like that. That is, if your post was directed at me. Phoenix
