My first, real, official purchase. I know, i bought 150 bucks in junk Barber quarters, but they're junk! This, this caught my eye.
Not sure if it can be graded, i haven't bought the book yet, but i paid 10 bucks for it, and i feel very good about it.
He had a 1950D nickel with steps, not proof, but vg shape. Wanted 20. Said I'd have to get back to him. This guy has some good stuff.
Hope i did well for 10 bucks as my first purchase.
Not sure if black or white background works best.

that beautiful coin, is only worth it's melt value? I'm glad i snatched it up for 10 then. That's too pretty to be melted. He had like 50 more quarter proofs but the '57 was the earliest. He had '58-'64, multiple of each, all for 10 bucks each. Maybe I'll offer to take the whole lot for a decent price.

You did fine at that price. And I would buy others. But I would advise you to buy a Red Book before you buy any more. The education you'll get from it will more than pay for the book in money that you will save and peace of mind in making a good purchase.

@CoinJockey73 Don't forget to check the rest of his proof stock for the Type B reverse 1956-1964. They are worth more than the normal strike. The same goes for the Franklin Half.

It'll be the next thing i buy. I really didn't think I'd take any of this seriously, but I'm finding i can't stop thinking about coins, lol. Thanks for the constructive criticism, it's always welcome.
