I acquired these 3 coins many years ago and just recently had a chance to look at them again. 1889 3-cent nickel: 1826 Bust Half: What Overton variety would this be? 1906o Barber Quarter: Questions welcomed.
IF thats indeed a close representation of the color in hand then it might be toned from cigarette smoke... ive actually done this intentionally to coins to hide a cleaning... And they call me..... doctor coins (best kiss voice)
Is this question a moot point? They already appear to be in slabs. And they do look to have been cleaned. The Barber has rim damage, the 3 cent has a die crack and there is something going on with the 1826 half , at the 8 in the date and S in States, variety?
The Busty would detail , the others I can't tell with the pics but I lean that they're all in detail slabs .
All cleaned. It's a shame too, the 1889 was a nice semi key date before somebody scrubbed it. Nicer details than my current business strike.
