Thanks RickieB. I had the note narrowed down to 2 and I'm thinking now I went with the wrong one. I like the animated Muttley btw
I cant say anything else until after Midnight when I solve it for you all... You will say wow that was so easy!! RickieB (Muttley)
dang my friend!!! you will be a zombie for the drive to the airport you having your usual limo service drive you i hope j/k of course!
I usually sleep on the plane, but I don't think it's too long a flight to Atlanta so probably not much opportunity for that.
i even tried searchign through old posts to see if any dollar amounts came close to the numbers i was coming up with i need to sleep lol
At midnight.. a few min from now..I will post the Sum of the notes! From there it should unfold for you....or should I do it now?? RickieB
lol i am itching to dive into bed... but i really cant sleep until i know the trick here how do you think you all did while we await the final numbers?
Well, as long as the first question wasn't a trick, I think the first 3 were easy...though I misread at first and started adding up ALL of his notes! The next 5....I don't know...there were a few possibilities.
i know.. i counted allt he notes 6 times.... got the same answer... so unless its a trick question.. i think guessing the value paid for a note is the toughest part
First you had to go to my collection at Banknotebank. Then click on "year", that would line things up for you so all you had to do was add on a calculator. By clicking each large size note in the collection you would of course be able to see the SN better....thus showing you that the total $886 in face value was off by $5 due to the Series 1907 $5 LT error (Pcblic) notes I added recently are shown together, not separate! This will give you $891 face, the the sq Root is 29.84 and the multiple is 210.98. The Note is the FR# 43 which retailed at 6295.64 (6295.00) The Hancock Note Winfield Hancock, Civil War General for 20 years. Engraved by Charles Schlecht (face) (Back by E.M.Hall, S.S. Hurlbut D.M. Cooper, and L. Delnoce. There ya have it..... Play off question #2 to come soon! That was not so hard huh?? RickieB
you said find the note valued at the multiple of the sqaure to the 6295.64 ... not the vlaue of a ntoe valued at 6295.64 ....
