This will feature <a href="http://news.coinupdate.com/commemorative-coins-to-recognize-u-s-army-star-generals-0498/" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://news.coinupdate.com/commemorative-coins-to-recognize-u-s-army-star-generals-0498/" rel="nofollow">clad, silver and gold coins</a>. One personage featured in that Series will be General Eisenhower. I'm not sure yet how many coins he will appear on, as (I don't think) the design ideas have yet been shared publicly. Something for us to look forward to...</p><p><br /></p><p>And, while some balk at the suggestion, I personally admire and delight in adding such fantasy coins to my collections where I see fit per my interests. Those pieces by Daniel Carr are among the ones that I choose to include. Mr. Carr's <a href="http://www.dc-coin.com/search.aspx?find=eisenhower" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.dc-coin.com/search.aspx?find=eisenhower" rel="nofollow">Eisenhower fantasy pieces</a> are nice to add to a themed Eisenhower collection. Most are very low mintage by Carr and have quickly sold out. I bought the silver Ike versions, but there are also clad pieces offered. The 2011 copper <a href="http://www.dc-coin.com/2008hardtimestoken536minted-2-3-1-2.aspx" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.dc-coin.com/2008hardtimestoken536minted-2-3-1-2.aspx" rel="nofollow">Eisenhower Military Industrial Complex</a> is a neat token too, the huge copper planchette with Ike's portrait is really interesting in that composition, to me. </p><p><br /></p><p>Good luck on your collection.
