Thanks green for all your info on how to post pics of coins Ill never use it as i am not into all the hype about wanting others to see my coins But what i do want to say it says a lot about a person that puts this much time and effort into helping those that want to show off their finds. It truely shows your unselfness and love for this hobby. Btw great job and very good teaching material.
I love the "crop in the round" feature too, but the actual shape does not stay round. So you have to pull and tug this way and that to get it to surround the coin evenly on all sides. Does anybody know of a Ctrl- or Alt- keystroke, something that will tell the program Keep It Round? Thanks, Best Regards, :hail: George
I see this thread has gone dormant but I want to say I have been using Photoscape ever since green18 first posted this thread. I do most stuff on my Mac but I have a little (32 GB but little) USB stick that I drop all my photos onto, roll over to the PC on my side table, crop in the round, resize, save, whatever I need to do to the photos, then bring them back over to the Mac for putting on my website, posting here, or whatever. It sounds more cumbersome than it is, I know I could probably do this on a WiFi network as well but I get at least a little exercise rolling back and forth. If there were a Photoscape app compatible with the Mac I could do everything on one computer. But Photoscape is the only app I know that lets you begin with a rectangular slab shot and end up with a cropped round closeup which i do all the time. Apparently a round crop is not something most photographers use regularly. I know I need a new camera and a better lighting setup, I suppose that is next in my interminable quest to become a better photographer. Anyway thanks again green18 for one of the most useful threads ever to appear on CoinTalk. You still Da Man! Best Regards, :hail: George
Thanks for bumping this...I had seen it a long time ago but forgot about it. Ordered some desktop photo equipment a few weeks ago off eBay and it should be here this week, so this will help alot.
