Green, your lighting looks really good. What do you use? Type of light? One light, two? What position- high above, low angle, front, rear, side? Soft screen?
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I have photoscape downloaded and each time I use it it becomes easier! Great lessons on this, now I just have to be able to get good pics (with lighting) to start. :rollling:
excellent tutorial!! I ended up making a template in Photoshop to use but this may come in handy. Thanks
I play with the lighting all the time Ahearn. Near, far, high, low......till I get what I think will turn out alright. I don't have a sophisticated setup, just a couple of goose neck Verilux's and a tray table. Sometimes I employ existing light, but mostly, just the lamps. I try to keep the lamps positioned at 10 and 2 o'clock. Again, thank you everyone for your kind comments.
I'm doing the Photoscape thing. I combine 2 pics. When I post the new combined photo in a thread, it's too small. You have to mouse over it for it to enlarge enough for anyone to see. Others post pics, and you don't have to mouse over them because their pic is boom right there in your face at the right size. I've tried different sizes from 500 to 2500.........same result. I guess I need to know the proper size for each individual pic and/or the size for the 2 pics combined. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
yes I do. And i mean specific amounts, not just ninety degrees. I want to be able to rotate a picture 180 degrees, or 14 degrees.
Not sure if you got my PM, but if you post them onto a facebook page, then copy the pictures and paste them here, it'll come out big. I use both my website http://www.facebook.com/Morris.Numismatic.Photography/photos and I use www.thecoinnection.com for image hosting.
