I could promptly recognize the Car of Astarte on reverse of this bronze coin which was struck under Elagabalus. But my big surprise at home was to find out that the wheeled car contains the Sacred Stone. It is round and placed on base. So far I've heard of the sacred Stone of Emesa(Hims or Homs in Syria). This one is from Sidon- Phoenicia. I know nothing about all this. The coin weighs 11.84 g. Please post a comment.
