Very nice Tet, @Mammothtooth ... I do not have his Tet, but I have this: Makedon Philip III Arrhidaeus-Alexander IV Drachm Amphipolis mint 259g 13mm Apollo-Youth horse VERY RARE SNG ANS 621 Le Rider123 And, I also have his Dad: Makedon Philip II Tet Pella LIFETIME 353-349 Zeus Horse star spearhead Le Rider 102
I would love a Philip II tet. Lifetime or otherwise! But they're awfully hard to find for much less than $1,000 or so in a condition anywhere as great as yours. Shanna Schmidt has one on sale right now for more than $2,000, and I think yours is just as nice, if not better.
Thank you for the kind comments. You may have seen in some of my posts, but I regard him very highly as a Historical figure.
The Price number on the tag starts with P. Therefore it is Philip III. http://numismatics.org/pella/id/price.P177 Nevertheless, the Price attribution on the tag is wrong. It is Price P181 http://numismatics.org/pella/id/price.P181
You're misreading what I said. I was talking about price as in the cost of the Shanna Schmidt coin, not Price as in the catalog number!
Very confusing. I'm surprised Abbot and Costello didn't make a routine about it. The radio and TV ratings might not have been great, though.
