    Deja Vu! I cannot answer your question concerning a mule coin. However, in over 50 years of collecting mostly US coins, 2 1944 S copper coins showed up in a grab bag purchased last week that I had never seen the design used by the military in 1944 on a Philippines coin.     Check the KM#179. 58 million reported minted 1944 S bronze centavo. 5.3 grams 25mm.
