Hi everyone , im a new member here and i have an 1945 - S 50 centavos from philippines . There is a cud over the 9 and the letter " I " is sticking to the place where the lady stands . Is this ordinary and how much is the value of this coin?

Welcome to CoinTalk Martin! :DAlthough it may technically have an error, I don't think it's worth much as there were way too many of these coins minted. Besides that, it's a well worn coin. It's silver, so if you have a silver coin stash, add it to the pile. ;)

I strongly doubt that little feature is worth any kind of premium, but it's neat, and the coin is a decent looking circulated example. As @fretboard said, it's worth keeping for your silver stash.

That would not be a cud but a IDB.. Interior Die Break. A cud involves the Edge of a coin.

    This is considered a Cud

Or it could be a MPD , and the 45 s 50 centavos has an rpm-001 has the mm been checked?

Opps .....I'm right again ...:cigar: rpm 001 look at that nice FAT S south of the mm. Juicy....:hilarious:

And does have a small premium for the variety.....:greedy:

    So what
What do you mean by mm? And what do you think is its value?

Mm = mint mark value is what ever someone would be willing to pay! Book value would be its condition and market rate.

    Go to www.varietyvista.com

See the tabs upper left misc. Hit that tab and scroll down to 50 centavos 1945 S rpm 001

If you were a buyer how much would you pay for it?

Somewhere between fifty cent ,and 1 million in Bongo Congo Bucks! And again depending on condition.....are you going to have it slabed? And attribuited as well?

However I'll bet it's a marker , pick up point for the S/S mint marks.
