I would also surmise the Polyfoil design on the Gran Tournois was implemented to guard against clipping.
Its not me....its the Samsung Galaxy S5...I just point it at the coin...click...perfect photo...ok...not perfect...very good...then I paint the background.
It was but now I got a method down, I can do a coin in like 15 minutes start to finish, photo with phone, merge with MS Paint, Use Pixlr to paint the background, and an image resizer to make it whatever size I want!!
