    Purchased from a fellow collector on here. I loved the castle on it & the condition compared to the norm of these types.

    Philip II of Spain (1556 - 1582 A.D.)
    Æ Blanca (1/2 maravedi)
    O: Castle (symbol of Castile); in left field, patriarchal cross; in right field C (Cuenca mint mark).
    R: Crowned monogram of king (PHIL sharing elements, VS entwined); in left field, patriarchal cross; in right field, chalice with two small crosses.
    Cuenca mint, 1556-1576.

    don't you feel horrible? :D

    but yeah, that's a very nice one compared to most. i have several overstamped coins of the era, but not a nice clean one.
