There is an online petition to place Theodore Roosevelt's likeness on the regular issue Half Dollar. TR being one of our greatest presidents, I support this petition, and encourage everyone to sign it, and help reinvigorate the almost defunct 50 cent piece. While I very much like TR and he had a definite positive impact on US Numismatics, I don't want to see any more real people, especially politicians, on our coins. They are too hard to remove. Example: good luck getting JFK off the half...we can't even get a building off of the nickel for more than a year or two. Let's leave Teddy on the various commems and move on to Liberty, Freedom, Justice, or some other ideal a little more impressive for our regular issues. JMHO.
