Sorry for your loss I know that pets can be like family. In some cases, even closer. RIP Napoleon.

Thanks everyone! The responses to this thread have really helped me. :)

My first lizard was an anole named Igano.

I have three lizards left: Novie, a fat tail gecko, Achoo, a golden gecko, and Herbert, a bearded dragon.

Thanks for posting the coins too. I need to add to my reptile coin collection.

I was in a pet store when I was about 15 and an anole escaped. A worker said not to worry about it, but I was determined to find it. So, about 25 mins later, I had it in hand. The rest of my family was standing by the exit and didn't look very impressed by my rescue. :p

This is such an awesome story!

I absolutely love the trihemiobol and am determined to get one. :)

I currently have three black cats, two are aged 2 years, one is 16 and we adopted her back in February - her elderly owner had passed away.

I still really really miss our kitty Seryozha who died in September of last year - he lived to 20 years old and my wife found him on the freeway when we lived down south. He was a bossy three legged black cat with a foul mouth - he was always very opinionated and vocal and I just knew he was cursing like a stevedore.

    Yep. Green anole lizard.

Handsome little boogers. We have them all over the side of our house. And occasionally inside the house, to our cats' delight and any slow-moving lizards' peril.

Here's a picture I took last summer at work, when there was an anole lizard and a stick bug on the wall, and the bug was as big as the lizard!

We haven't lost a pet recently but we almost did last weekend. Our little dog simply wouldn't go outside so I went out the door to lead her outside.

This animal was waiting outside the door for our dog to come out! Fortunately, the beast walked away when I walked out ahead of our dog.

Never a dull moment when you live in the forest. This first photo is from one of the game cameras outside my house. This second photo was taken by a neighbor on a subsequent day.

Our little pet is no longer allowed to run around our land without adult supervision.
