Coming really late onto this thread. I have a lot of catching up to do after my extended absence from forum... Anyway, Greg, I hope you decided to keep your nice Pertinax denarius. That is a real beauty. I do have one Pertinax to share, an As of his with the emperor sacrificing over a patera. As a general comment, when I was looking for a Pertinax many years ago I found his imperial silver was more readily available than the bronzes, and his sestertii in turn more available than his Asse or Dupondii. When I saw this example at Spinks, I too the chance. The picture is pretty crappy I know, but the bust is all there. You can't miss the guy. I hope I got the attribution right on this one.
