Just working full tilt, not much time for hobbies/ but still active on auctions. Just picked up 2 nice "Caranett Colection" Sovereigns from Heritage. Here is a 1918-P Perth Mint/ George V
Very nice. I was one of the under bidders on this one. Some very nice coins in that collection that went for strong money. The 1923 SA and 1916 C stole the show. The Perth mint coins did well overall.
Nice coin John. They did extremely well in that auction the Canadian Specimen sovs went through the roof as did the 1908 and 1916. I was hoping to pick one up as they are the ones missing from my Canadian set but will have to find myself a bigger, richer bank to be able to afford those coins
I was an early, non-competitive bidder on a couple of the Canadian offers. Too strong for my shallow pockets. (Cited from: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/perth-sovereign.360452/)
Thanks all! Yes, I always stood by my opinion that the interest in coins is growing stronger with every passing year. There is not enough supply for the growing demand/ hence prices are going thru the roof. John
What was the other sovereign that you picked up? (Cited from: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/perth-sovereign.360452/)
