Yes they are a legitimate company. And even the coins are of decent grade. However, all of their prices are 2-3X the book value which you could buy at a brick and mortar coin shop. Which almost all of them have disappeared. My old one was complaining about Ebay many many years ago, and one day I dropped by and they had disappeared.

Littleton's marketing strategy is to give you an inducement. A loss leader. They will give you a decent deal on some coins the very first time, but then you have agreed for them to ship you coins (which you can accept or reject) and I think even the first return envelope is postage paid? The coins they sent me were very nice, but the prices were absurd. The 1st time in Colorado in the early 90's (before everything was on the internet) I bought a silver dime (merc) and a silver half (Walker) prob for $4.95? Which turned out to be a good deal later. They sent me some coins which I liked but the prices were too high, I sent them back and was taken off the mailing list. You are only supposed to do this 1 time, but after I moved to NM I did it one more time, and I received Ford Nixon and Reagan Pres dollars 2 mints, 6 coins for face. And this time there was no fine print in the ad about being put on a subscription, but they sent coins again anyway. I wrote them a letter and said the coins they sent me were very nice and if they were charging me book value I would be a customer. But they were charging over 3x the value of the coins and I can't be a customer at that price and please remove me from your mailing list.
