    You are correct..

I get it all out here, where everyone knows your name.. I accept my portion of the blame for the confusion, as you are correct in your assesment. I intend to continue posting, so I can use what I have learned from all the discussions.

    Pennybids:
Okay, here is where I am confused:

    1) You say: "Sell me your coins for a good price."
    2) then you say: "Send me your coins. "

Here is where I am lost, which is it: sell me them or send me them.
Then you say: "Watch what I do with them by becoming a Pennybids member."

Or is it an either/or: Sell them or send them and become a member.
If I sold you my coins why would I get anything if you later sold then for a profit?

As John Travolta said, as Vinnie Barbarino: "I'm soooo confused."

Sappernurse: I am sorry, but you understood this?

Any coin I receive will be tracked. Every previous owner of tracked coins has the potential to receive some compensation in the future. The biggest benefit is the content I will produce about the coin(s) after I receive them.

Wether you sell me your coins, or just send me your coins, the coins will be tracked, and tracked coins are coins owned previously by another person like yourself.

You have the opportunity to become a member of Pennybids if you sell me, or send me, your IHC. It's up to the coins' previous owners to join Pennybids. I will not be automatically signing people up as I go.

I intend to take a portion of the proceeds of the sale of a "Super Collection" and share it with Pennybids members.

I intend to take a portion of the proceeds of the sale of a "Super Collection" and share it with Pennybids members.

As of this morning, the "portion" (the amount of the proceeds I will share with Pennybids members) Is in the 3-5% range, depending on how many members there are at the time of the sale.

It's a hook to get people to join us. It's not an investing scheme or a get rich scheme.

    My dearest PENNYBIDS,
I have an 1888, 8/7, IHC, graded by SGS at MS-68. Do you want it? I will send it to you A.S.A.P. .......OK? Just let me know WHERE to send it......OK? I will then follow its' progress and will get lots of money from you......OK? What a deal. I could retire early......wait, I AM retired early. Brain tumors ya know.
Anyways....where's the pictures of the 1902, DDR, F-12, IHC? Can't wait to see them. You're the greatest.

    Sincerely and lovingly yours,

    swick

    Let me ask you this---
So I sell you a coin for $1---then later on down the road you sell the set and I get my $1 back with maybe $0.05 more??
That is what I get out of this thread so far---

    Here I am...

    I'll take hilarious and ***** 5 stars.

Swick and Jack, at this time I would not TAKE your coins. Why?..because I do not have a set that those coins would benefit from. If you would like to negotiate a selling price, now that's a little different. If I can afford your coins, I would purchase them. Then I would not have any issues with "holding" any coins without first purchasing them.

I think that my idea of the person(s) who would "send" me a coin, and the type of coins I imagined receiving, were low grade, high mintage coins that actually have no greater value than $1.00 or so. THAT IS THE COIN I WOULD TAKE. I intend to purchase high value coins outright.

To Speedy, I think you are right in the ballpark with the value and the transaction. You'll be paid a dollar for the coin (a normal, average, run-of-the-mill IHC), and later down the road you can receive and extra $1.00 from us.

And if you just send me the coin? You will get a reply from us thanking you very much for your interest. I am also going to pay $1 per IHC (non culls)" for those coins sent to us. I will use my best judgment per the quality, In this way, Pennybids will have ownership rights to any coins received from the public.

In the event that someone were to just send us something extraordinary, I will contact them, and a communication will ensue about what the intended use of the coins was, and how the sender will be updated with information about the coins they've sent.

I'm made out to be just collecting coins hand over fist here, and that is absolutely not true. It's supposed to give me a reason to be on Myspace, and here on the forum, and in Craig's List.

I can only assume now that every situation is covered. Maybe? Uh, I still havn't gotten anything from anyone, and maybe just never will. I am buying and selling IHC anyways though. I'm selling partial Whitman's, Rolls of F12 (dates clustered), and many other items that I personally buy and sell for my own advance.

Well....I'll say you have your work cut out for you.
Most collectors aren't going to send you or sell you any coins just because this has all of the points of a scam...not that I'm saying it is....but when you look at it, that is just what it looks like.
Most collectors know that it isn't easy to make money on coins---so you are going to have to work pretty hard...or be pretty lucky...in order to do what you are saying.
    My suggestion is this--
If you want to build a set of IHC then do so.....but forget the idea of this Super set built for everyone. You can buy coins from people to make your set better...you can build a low grade one and sell it for a better one...but I would stroungly suggest that you just do it for yourself.
Also---I have no idea how long you have been collecting....but the best advise anyone could give is to take some time and buy books....any book you can get on IHC's...and read them...over and over again.

I hope to stay and enjoy CoinTalk----

    My Dearest PENNYBIDS,
I will send you the coins, but I need to know WHERE to send the coins....OK? And, if you want to pay me for the coins, I have a PayPal account where you can deposit the money.....OK? I absolutely LOVE this idea.
I'm so excited about this idea, even though I do not know what's going on exactly. I guess that I'll just have to trust you, my dearest PENNYBIDS. And, I WILL trust you. Just let me know WHERE to send the coins to. Then, I will wait for the money to roll into my PayPal account.....OK?
Also, where are the pictures of the 1909, DDR, F-12, IHC? Can't wait to see those pictures. WOW. I also have a 1909, DDO, graded MS-69 by SGS. Do you want that coin, my dearest PENNYBIDS? Let me know if you want that coin, and I will send the coin to you A.S.A.P.......OK?

    Sincerely and lovingly,

    swick

I did what I could to express myself on this matter. Everyone who read the thread has had an opportunity to ask me something about the original post.

I wouldn't mind if it was locked, deleted, or whatever.
