Yes, you make it harder to enjoy talking about it.

SO, as I revisit this everyday to find someone insulting me, I find it harder to return. You want it to be a scam, then I should stop posting and just let you find everything you can wrong with me and Pennybids. Have fun.

And I'll add that this post would have never started if someone didn't start it which means the Craig's List idiot you're talking about sits at the top of this post. Is that how you like to think of people like Him/her?

And who gives you or anyone the right to pass a judgement on me or anyone? Have you ever dealt with me? No. Have you ever requested something from me and I underdeliver? No. Can anyone say anything bad about me or my integrity other than you think its a stupid idea? No.

So take your interpretation of my Grammar, my idea, my continued responses and stick them where your coins are which is obviously taking up brain space in your nether regions.

I may not agree with his 'program' however, I do think that we shouldn't chase him away.

Everyone has the right to free speech, I am sure that there are a whole lot of people out there who don't agree with everything that I have said.
And, I wouldn't want them to agree-- that is how I learn.
Or as my mother-in-law says (the most often repeated words in her house): "You're wrong, Frank".

Whether we agree with him or not, he still has the right to an opinion.
If you disagree, do what I plan on doing, don't join his program.

I have no interest in NOT possessing my own coins. However, the man has been conversant and polite. There is a possibility I could learn from him.

Obviously, several of our "members" think they know everything. Those are the people no one will learn anything from. To cover their ignorance, all they can do is post rude, crude personnel comments.

IMO, slamming people has nothing to do with coins.

    Thanks.

I appreciate the decency of at least allowing someone to come and "talk it out". You have questions, I'll generate answers. You got complaints, I'll generate solutions.

I like seeing the comments come, and I like responding. Just don't come and say it in a way that makes it "appear" that you know something everyone else doesn't. If you do, then say it and prove it.

Now I go to my JOB, as messing with y'all is not my JOB. I'll see you again at 4:30pm CDT. Until then, watch out for the quacking cow, he's got something for you.

    Dearest PENNYBIDS,
Oh my, what a GREAT person you are. I need NO ONE to apologize for me. I have NEVER said or implied that I know everything about numismatics. In fact, I know absolutely NOTHING about numismatics. That's why I come to this web site.
PENNYBIDS, could you please start your "SUPER COLLECTION" with Morgan Dollars instead of Indian Head Cents? I have several Morgan Dollars that are just sitting around doing nothing. I will send the Morgan Dollars to YOU to start YOUR "SUPER COLLECTION"......OK? Please send me your address and phone number so that I can get the Morgan Dollars to YOU A.S.A.P.....OK? Since I don't collect IHC, maybe you could find it in your kind heart to start the Morgan Dollar "SUPER COLLECTION" first.....OK? That way, I could get rid of all my Morgan Dollars. I will send all of my Morgan Dollars to YOU, then I'll wait to find out how much YOUR "SUPER COLLECTION" is worth.....OK? And, I believe that the Morgan Dollar "SUPER COLLECTION" will be worth more money in the long run. Don't you agree with this? PLEASE tell me where you want to start with the Morgan Dollar "SUPER COLLECTION".....OK? (1878, 1921...etc.)
Thanking you in advance for your kindness, AND for this WONDERFUL opportunity. I would never have known about this WONDERFUL opportunity had I not been a member of this forum. I look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with you. You are one, nay, you are THE BEST thing that has happened to me since I have joined this web site. When do you think that I will get my first check for YOUR "SUPER COLLECTION"? Thank you again PENNYBIDS. I feel that I could learn SO much from you. You're the GREATEST.

    Sincerely, & humbley yours,

    swick

    Wow....lots of sarcasm there :D

Any Pennybids, I do take great displeasure in your response to my last post as i do not like to use nor hear foul language. I had asked a simple question and my response from you was circular at best. Please, in simplistic terms, explain what you would want us to do to participate, what our gains would be, the timetable and things along that line. If this isnt a fraudulant empire, an explanation as such should clear up a lot of things.

As it stands, it seems as if you want us to send you in IHCs and hope you sell them for a profit on ebay after you get your cut. If I am wrong, please explain it to me in simple army terms, and do not resort to obscenitites

Because the only thing they did understand was an insult thrown from the trenches within the battlefield of discussion.

The original post from me to Gusmyster is extremely intricate and misleading. When in actuality I should have responded like this:

Sell me your coins for a good price. Watch what I do with them by becoming a Pennybids member. Send me your coins. Watch what I do with them by becoming a Pennybids member. For Pennybids members, I will send information about their coins, special offers on buying and selling other coins, and a chance to enjoy the other collecting content Pennybids has to offer.

P.S. I did not attemp to insult anyone directly. I liked the thought and typed it out. Just like I did with Gusmyster and the original post. Look what happened in both cases.

I apologize for anything I said to make some one feel insulted. I do not intend to conduct myself like that in the future.

    Pennybids,

FIrst of all I was going to suggest that you check out other parts of Cointalk then saw you in another thread. That's good as you can get a better idea of what goes on here by doing a little "exploring".

As for the way you just explained your system it has it merits as long as it's legit. I aplogize for the "if" but that's how many people look at things here. Many of us share "scams" all of the time. We tend to be watchdogs.

What you are proposing seems a lot like a consignment deal to me but without fees, without guarantees and without a time limit. Not really bad in theory but there are a few gaping holes here.

    1) Nobody knows you so why should they trust you?
    2) People with key dates and high grade coins tend to know a lot about that particular coin. Most already have future plans for them.

People consign coins to big auction houses all of the time. These houses generally get a selling fee from the buyer and the seller. Yes, they make money and people still consign. Why? - because these people get the best price and have the right contacts.

Again, I don't mean to be insulting but there is a level of naivity popping up with your proposition. Offering to "buy" coins at a reasonable price is great but what is a reasonable price? Is the seller paid in advance? Can YOU trust the seller?

You asked a question earlier in this thread about doubling. If you're that much into this project shouldn't you know these things? I believe that would generate a lot more trust from those that DO know those things?

In short, I believe, if you really want to have a shot at this that you need to do a LOT of homework. A LOT of that can be accomplished here on CT. You might also consider restructurring your proposition and the hardest part is that you have to establish a reputation in the coin collecting community.
