If someone is practicing reverse engraving, by drilling a small hole in the edge and then using a tool to raise a mintmark from forcing on the inside of the coin metal ( was never as popular as gluing mint marks on), but if they were expert, a lot harder to detect. It just came to me that practicing on zinc lincolns would be a lot easier than solid bronze lincolns. The hole would be closed, but might be visible if there.&nbsp; Interesting idea for forgers.
