    Pics would help.
Also, a planchet is the blank that the coin is stamped on.

A planchet used to be a blank until it went through the upsetting mill.

I should know this since I just visited the min in Philly on Friday. I blame it on wrangling 2 kids while trying to read everything :p

Heck no! I thought a man was supposed to keep his wife barefoot and pregnant.

    Now, I'm kidding!

We were walking around Philadelphia. If she was barefoot she would probably have caught some disease lol. And please not pregnant. I think 2 is plenty for my stress levels thank you :)

I have 2 1951 pennies. Both have D mint. One has the 5 with a long tail connected to the D mark. The other one has a blob on the 9. Seen a guy on you tube who had a blob on the head of the 9. Anyone have any info on either coin/

    First, welcome to the neighborhood!

Just to let you know, it's impolite to hijack someone's thread. You should start your own thread, and like @Conder101 said, you must provide photos.
