Hi all, I learned how to do a neat magic trick. I can make a Penny turn into a Dime with the tap of a pen Here is the very short 13 second video I created and put on Youtube - No camera tricks or special effects!
Helluva a trick. Even at 1/4 speed it's hard to tell what happened. All I see is a white streak shooting up the pen. Strangely, the coin moves a bit while it's being touched and it appears to change colors as if it is actually changing and not just being swapped out.
Pretty neat. But, the top of Lincolns head is pointing right and the top of Roosevelts head is pointing down. That makes me think that the spin of our galaxy has something to do with your trick.
I mean it could only be something like the penny is hollowed out and the dime was there the whole time. Then there is monofilament in the pen attached to the penny which when yanked pulls it out of sight along the bottom of the pen, revealing the dime. This trick would likely only work on video, even if there is no editing per se.
Glue or tape? It looks like you use a different pen to move the penny then what you leave in the shot.
