Just found my first 1999 wide a m exciting to know there's still some of these 25 year old errors out there
Congratulations. I have $105 face in bronze cents under my bed left from my roll-searching days and never found an important variety. What's the condition of your find?
I'll put pictures on Tuesday my camera at home sucks and I'm no way confident enough to even suggest a grade on a coin
Looks like you nailed it, it's a wide AM. Still looking for a 99' here close to Denver.. May be looking for a while.
I've been thru 100 of dollars in pennies I looked at it 3 times front and back because I was amazed I found it
sorry for being a dunce (i'm new here and to the world of collecting) but what's so significant about this 1999 penny? "wide a m"?
I've gone through 30-40 ($25 boxes) over the last couple years and of the three 1998,1999,2000 wide A M's. I have found 7 2000's & 2 1998's & ZERO 1999's it is the toughest one of the three.
There are some clad quarters with proof type (h) reverses from Denver from 69-72. There is not too much written about them though.
I too am rather new can someome provide more detailed info in laymans terms or give reference info for me to search please? thank you
Are there other dates(other than 1998, 1999, 2999) in which the wide A M is a "rare" variety? Are there dates that have a narrow AM, which are also considered a rare variety?
