If you read the article till the end...

I don't even know why they bother to continue making Cents.. They are expensive to make and they have already minted probably trillions since 1909..
I wouldn't care if they stopped striking them today!

thanks for the information. I didn't read the article I guess to well, I must of been busy and for the penny I hate zinc pennys, ugly how they tarnish so easy and don't last. I wish they would reform the penny but lets face it the penny is almost worthless and close to its end. I mean doesn't it cost more to make a penny than its worth.. the answer is yes, I know.

John McCain introduced a bill to end penny production before he passed. Mitch McConnell pulled the plug on it.

If this ever happens, you’ll see about 15 threads all over this site announcing the news.

Aw, no! You're not going to suck me into saying something political so Jim @desertgem can give me a ding. Are you reading this, Jim? I think Mr. P. should be severely reprimanded just as soon as you finish your cookies and milk.

Let's just say that I think pennies should be banned on CT.

Isn’t the correct terminology of what we’re talking about here actually the (CENT)?
I believe it was the British that only deserves the (Penny)?
    Just saying!!!
