Had to laff at the line in the song about buying a Reliant K-car (hoo boy, there’s a ‘90s reference!). My ex-wife had one in ‘94. Definitely not the kinda car you’d wanna buy if you had a million dollars!

Silly song. I liked it. Had never heard it before.

This giveaway has been a joy to me! The jokes, songs, coins, stories, pictures and pets have been a constant source of interest and amusement. I look forward to your contributions every day!
    Still more to come!

    Awww.

Wait, stop, y'all. Put away those cans of tuna and that catnip. Miss Peaches cannot be bribed to rig the prize drawings.

That would be me. I take payment in Philly Cheesesteak sammiches, if anybody is listening. With lots of grilled onions, please. And bell pepper.

Oh- speaking of drawings- I guess it's time for another one, isn't it? Those nine Merc dimes need a new home, I reckon.

    Stand by...

You're very eloquent, @masterswimmer, but perhaps you should slim down your posts somewhat. Nobody has time to read all that! ;)

The random number generator has spoken again, giving us the winning number for Lot #9.

And the number it bestowed its blessing upon was #388.

    upload_2020-12-13_15-10-23.png

    ... and Post #388 was by @dano!

Congrats, @dano! You just added nine more Merc dimes to your silver stash! Be sure to provide Claire (@Penny Luster) with your shipping address. I'll send out a private message shortly.

This lot (Day 10) will be the last one that Claire will be shipping herself. The remaining two lots (#11 & #12) will be coming from my inventory, and will be shipped by me. (Claire swapped me some stuff for those lots, however, so they're still entirely her donation to the contest- just as everything else here has been.)

Spoiler alert: I'm more of a World coin guy myself than a US coin guy, though I do both, so...

One other note: I have to have a surgical procedure* tomorrow morning (Monday, 12/14), so the drawing for this Lot #10 might be a little bit later than 24 hours in.

(*No need for sympathy posts- it's just a minor outpatient thing.)

But hopefully not too out of synch. I will be off tomorrow night, so maybe- hopefully- I'll be upright again in the evening or late night, or the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

    I want that/those.
A friend from CoinTalk sent this to me so hope he doesn't mind me using it. Too funny to let slip away:

    Husband and Wife Christmas Shopping

A couple were in a busy shopping center just before Christmas. The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and as they had a lot to do, so she called him on the mobile.

The wife said " Where are you, you know we have lots to do."

He said "You remember the jewelers we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I could not afford it at the time and I said that one day I would get it for you?"

Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all
    choked up…

"Yes, I do remember that shop." she replied.

"Well I am in the gun shop next door to that."

I quite like that. Very easy on the ears, in my opinion. I'm a big fan of World music, so I listen to a lot of cross-cultural stuff.

Here is a mellow Classic Rock song with a Native American inspiration.
