    Can anyone tell anything about this. I found this in my collection of wheat pennies and have never seen anything like it before. Maybe if it is fake? 20171029_124311.jpg 20171029_124320.jpg

    You need a better clearer picture of the front.
    Could be a struck through capped die.
    I do see a date... It's year 2000

    You have a pretty nice looking struck through die cap. Here are a few that I've found through the years. Some you can see details better than others. Cool find :)

    I think your ASE has a small crack or pin hole in the holder it is in, and it has started to oxidize there.
