I get all of the hate on these, especially considering the way the idiot director "handled" the whole thing, but I am intrigued. The cent has been a significant factor in the history of our country, and that part is now over. I know they are doing them in mint sets for the unknown future, but no more in circulation. If I had the means I would be in the auction, will definitely follow as they start appearing on the secondary market. I believe though that with only 232 sets there will be enough serious collectors who want them that they will not be flooding the market in the future.

The serious collectors want large cents, especially the early ones. These manufactured rarities are for the new comers with more money than experience and good sense.
