First post here. Just wanted to check if these have any value. Not sure if the first one was made like that or it was a result of environmental damage. For the second one, I need to check the weight for zinc vs copper, but I noticed that the edge/rim was thicker at the bottom.
The cents with the rim thicker on one side than the other, is just a minor variety. Commonly called a Misaligned die. Both coins are worth one cent. Welcome to CoinTalk Additional comment. That may be a die crack on the first one. I am unsure on that. Hold for further confirmation from others
1st one is damaged and zinc rot. Planchet made that way so bubbled plating pops, but also substantial pmd. 2nd on is large date and minted in Philly so does not matter if copper or zinc, as it is not the rare coin you are looking for.
