I collect ALL "cents" or pennies, I am trying for a million, I sort them out to solid date rolls, except what goes in my album and after that I will got thru them if I know good year for errors and then sell them off and divide the money up between the grandkids for school when they get older, I have about 2500 solid date rolls so far...
I'll stick with 'DOWNLOW'. I try tofill my folders with AU's or better from 1959 to 2008. For 2009 it's BU or better. Wheaties are tougher so it's XF or better. Anything lower in all groups goes back to the bank. Oh, for IHC's or Flying Eagles I'll take anything I can get. zeke
Besides the ones all mentioned above, I keep a binder dedicated to any penny that really stands out in color/toning. These are great to show to the kids and non-collectors. The range of colors you see on the whole page is awesome. Heres an example of some 90's with some nice colors, to me at least. The bottom one is for comparison to an average circulated dirty cent you would find in your pocket. (the picture doesnt do them justice, the right one is a crazy deep red)
