Nothing here. Just some damaged coins.

Why are you trying to speculate on what happened to them? This is not a mint error, plain and simple. I could make at least 5 guesses on what that indent could have been from.

Damaged coins. Worthless unless you can find a cashier who will take them.

Welcome to CT. Might I suggest you do more reading and research before your next post. Your photos make it hard to discern much of anything. Try posting just a well focused single coin, cropped to show just the obverse and reverse of the correctly orientated coin, with close-ups of those areas you have questions about and you'll get better responses.

@SendMoney ...not to discourage you from collecting coins, but first get a Red Book (A Guide Book Of United States Coins) and then, don't be so adamant about being right when sooooooooooo many people tell you that you are wrong. If you want to disagree, be nice about it. Many on here will will be sarcastic or otherwise humorous towards someone who is obstinate.

@SendMoney ...if you study the die making process you will learn that the damage you find on coins could not have happened at the mint...go to doubleddie.com for reliable information.

If you were watching claptrap boobtube videos and got an idea from them...you just need to stop. You are trying to see something that isn’t there, and that’s called paredolia...Spark

I normally like to give the benefit of the doubt, and assume someone just doesn't know any better. No one could possibly believe this though.

We’ll also being a new member I thought some of the posts were a little harsh on a new member. But then I saw some threads come through that were “helpful” or at least educational in nature. I haven’t been on long and I do think this is a great website full of years of experience. From just browsing posts you provided resources I never knew existed let alone updated as well as they are: years ago you would have to find these resources as a hard copy and that in itself could have been a challenge and costly. So... i’m Happy that i’ve Joined this site but also think that in an instance like this it could be a young new collector who just got their wings chopped off. (Don’t recall when I signed on if you had to be 18 older?) and i’ve Looked through enough posts to see why those of you that have seen so much can be a little terse so I understand.

First off, please tell us what is a "liberty coin" you mentioned in your 1st post?
The coin with the spot you think is silver, is not! It's the zinc core. Starting in 1982 the US Mint started making cents with a copper plated zinc core. None of the coins you posted are mint errors. You need to educate yourself on the minting process and do some research on error coins. Here's a site you need to look at: http://www.error-ref.com/

The "new member" posted a question, and one of our best-informed members gave a quick, cordial, and accurate answer.

The "new member" then accused the expert of having vision problems, and threw in a nice dose of contempt ("smh").
I like little birdies, too, but when they fly into the house and start crapping all over the furniture, it can be a little exasperating.

JeffB... again as a “new member” this is getting further from the context of what these threads should be about. I don’t condone our young birdies approach, and if I could cut and paste quotes from an excerpt as well as you I would again refute that i just don’t see the bad here. So as a new member I see that I have overstepped my bounds already and will refrain from

And just so you all know, I'm really not mean, I'm just playful, I like to joke around. So please stop taking my remarks seriously and being hateful.
