Two of the first coins I ever bought were Peace Dollars. A 1924 ANACS MS61 and a raw 1922. I paid less than $30 for both of them. I used to love that series so much, and when asked the age-old Peace/Morgan question, I even used to describe the Morgan Dollar as ugly. If the newer folk around here know anything about me, that would certainly come off as a surprise. I love the Morgan Dollar's design so much, and it is probably my third favourite coin series. (Behind the $2.5/$5 and $10 Indians). They are also the series I have the most experience grading, hence my signature. When it comes right down to it, there are more attractive Morgans out there than there are Peace Dollars. Finding Peace Dollar eye candy is a far greater task (somehow Paul is able to do it), and I certainly don't have the wallet for it. Plus, Peace Dollars are just too dang difficult to grade in comparison to Morgans. Morgans are sharp, no matter their strike, and things are well defined. Peace Dollars are cloudy, the obverse, at times, looks scrunched--and I don't find them particularly easy to photograph either. tl;dr - Morgans all the way!
