    It's a very common date (1881-S), and not worth the money. These coins were saved by roll, and many of them are very lustrous and in high grades.

    Please bear in mind that removing the "questionable color" will involve dipping, which will dull to the coin to a degree. Even if it's a better date, it would be questionable move.

    As mentioned, it's an extremely common date, so why bother. Would cost more money than it would be worth, as mentioned.

    I will say that I do not find it ugly, though the color didn't pass muster at PCGS.

    If it graded 64 dmpl I'd have some cash.. fields so clean and face as well. Just the pvc toning killed it
