PCGS Reholdering

    If you submit a coin to PCGS to be reslabbed will it come back with the same ID number?

    If all you do is have it reholdered the cert stats the same. If you have it regraded as well the cert changes.

    That is how you see new blue PCGS holders with 108 prefix cert numbers. They have been reholdered for whatever reason - could have been cracked, scratched, or owner wanted all of the slabs to match. We lose white Gen 1.0 and 1.1 holders, but se la vie.
