Never heard of the 1955 cutoff date sir. I always read from the advent of tpg at leasr that 1965 was the cutoff. Remember how they never graded 1965 and later because they promised to never grade moderns because of the potential for abuse? That promise lasted until the need to boost profits, and HSN money was beckoning.

I have to tell you that of all the mint set grades, the difference between 64 and 65 is probably the EASIEST to tell.

    Good point, bad example.

    IMO of course. :)

OK, I just had never heard 1955 to date as the "modern era" of coins.

Never thought you were insane sir. :)

A if you can't tell the difference, you should learn and until then stick to buying the 63 that you can recognize.

And when the go to sell, If I think it's a 63 and worth $1650 that's all I'm offering I don't care what the label says.

And if you can't sell it as a 64 you can always send it back to PCGS under their grade guarantee. But what if they say the coin you can't sell as a 64 is a 64? You are still stuck with it. Or if they agree it isn't a 64 and buy it back, but say a 64 is worth $1650? Remember they get to set the value and it is often well lower that their own price guide says.

The insane will always claim they are not insane.

    This:
takes you out of that category. Puts you into the "humorous" column.
Which some would argue is a bit of an overlap with "insane".

    CT entertains me.
