    Thank you for the reply, is that more on the devices ? or the whole coin (including rims, surfaces) ?

    Thanks, much appreciated. I'll go through my coins again and see if I can "grade" it better with this new knowledge.

    Location matters.

    Yes location does matter, but only in regard to what the grade will be. But if a scratch is severe enough it doesn't matter where it is, the coin is ungradeable.
