So true and how many people can come into a pawn shop and actually start up a chainsaw to see if it works? That's probably part of the reason why (I) see so many of these languishing forever. Best rule of thumb is to never sell them anything that is of any great value to you. There are too many other venues to get better money. And it does not matter if it's a Stihl or a Remington, way too many things can go wrong with chainsaws you cannot see on the surface. I know, I've worked with them my entire adult life. I have a 1970's Mac 1010 that I would not trade for a half dozen Stihls. Runs as good today as the day I purchased it.
